Alberto Chisvert (BSc, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Valencia, 1999; PhD, Dpt. of Analytical Chemistry, University of Valencia, 2003). He was Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Food Sciences of the University of Valencia (2005), Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Analytical Chemistry of University of Alicante (2006-2008), and Lecturer in Dept. of Analytical Chemistry of University of Valencia (2008-2011). Nowadays, he is Associate Professor in this last department since 2011. At present, he has published near 50 scientific papers, and 12 chapters in scientific books. Moreover, he has acted as co-editor of the book Analysis of Cosmetic Products (Elsevier, 2007), and he is editorial board member of Advances in Analytical Chemistry, American Journal of Analytical Chemistry, Chromatography Research International, International Journal of Analytical Chemistry and Journal of Trace Analysis in Food and Drugs. Moreover, he is external reviewer of more than 25 journals in the Analytical Chemistry area, including chromatography. His research areas are focused on both liquid and gas chromatography coupled to mass-spectrometry, liquid-phase and solid-phase microextraction, bioanalysis and cosmetic, pharmaceutical and environmental analysis.

His research interests include Analytical chemistry, Chromatographic techniques, Mass spectrometry, Solid- and liquid-phase microextraction, with especial emphasis in dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME), Analysis of cosmetic products, Determination of cosmetic ingredients in biological fluids and Determination of cosmetic ingredients in environmental waters
