Abstract

Detergents are one of the major environmental pollutants that their consumption will be increased by increasing the level of the health of the countries which can cause many problems if they are not infiltered and exposed to the environment. Linear benzene sulfonate, after the soap is the most common household detergent and it is used in more than 100 countries around the world as a raw material for production of surfactants such as washing powders, dishwashing liquids and other detergents. Among the various methods of treatment, using technologies related to biological processes is very important. The aim of this study is to evaluate the performance of MSCR bioreactor in linear alkyl benzene sulfonate (LAS) removal from the municipal wastewater. In this research a Plexiglass pilot with the diameter of 5 mm, dimensions of 54*25*25 cm and total volume of 5.34 litres and used volume of 30 litres was used; containing 70
